Just opening a door can energise the vehicle and help to drain the battery. Established in 1971 independent automotive workshop in Bristol, SF Tebby & Son made the investment a few months ago and now offers free battery testing with any service, and a £10 fee for standalone fixes. This approach, combined with a battery replacement rate of around 30%, translates into significant new revenue. Jack Bryant, assistant manager of the garage said, “the tester paid for itself within a month. The revenue opportunities are incredible, and we have confidence in the results we provide to our customers.”
Since implementing programme in January, SF Tebby has conducted almost 1,000 battery tests, identifying issues in approximately 40 per cent of vehicles tested. Taking
