BSU2-50C enables you to perform updates and diagnostics by taking the pressure off the battery. It provides up to 50A of regulated power at 13.6V that can instantly react to voltage spikes and unexpected drains.
What makes BSU2-50C different?
BSU2-50C is a 50A battery support unit built for JLR workshops. It provides a stable 13.4V supply at up to 50A, keeping the battery topped up while you run ECU updates, diagnostics and module programming.
It works with any 12V automotive battery, including AGM, GEL and Lithium LiFePO4. For lithium batteries, a contactor reset function brings disabled or deeply discharged LiFePO4 batteries back online.
Once the battery is charged, BSU2-50C acts as a regulated power supply. It covers accessory loads and parasitic drain, so vehicles can sit with the ignition on without the battery dropping. The output current display shows exactly what the vehicle is drawing.

BSU2-50C supports all 12V battery technologies including WET, AGM, GEL, Ca/Ca, Ca/Ag, EFB and Lithium LiFePO4.
When a Lithium LiFePO4 battery is highly discharged it goes into a protective state. MPL50-Li's Contactor Reset mode can reset the contactor allowing the battery to be recovered and charged.
