Mechanex 2023

Mechanex 2023!

Tuesday 7th October to Wednesday 8th October we had a stand at Mechanex 2023 in Sandown. It was great to meet everyone who attended and discuss the latest battery management technologies and a lot more.

Ken Clark presented at PMM Live

Our battery management expert, Ken Clark, took to the stage at PMM Live to speak about how vital 12V batteries are in Electric Vehicles.

On both days of the Mechanex show, Ken spoke to a filled audience about how the 12V battery will still need to be maintained on ICE and Electric Vehicles.

Don’t worry if you didn’t get chance to listen to Ken’s talk, you can read all about it here!

New ROBIS feature announced.

During Kens talk at PMM Live, he announced a brand new feature for ROBIS, our industry leading online battery management portal. We know that understanding a vehicles battery’s health is quite technical and requires a trained technician to read the battery’s test results. For customers or people without technical battery knowledge, understanding the battery’s condition can be difficult, especially using a small and hard to read print out.

Introducing the Battery Diagnostic Report. We have created a report that takes the decisions made from the battery test and filters it into an easy to read and accessible report. How does it work? Your technicians will carry out a battery test like usual (using your compatible tester) and recording the number plate of the vehicle. Once the test has been completed, the test results will be automatically transferred to the ROBIS portal. You can then access pull the report and print or send to the customer via email. Simple!

ROBIS will present you with a clear and easy to understand report based on the test results, using a traffic light system to make interpreting the results simple. We have spent a lot of time creating easy to understand report results that don’t need a lot of technical understanding so it can be easy to print off results and present to customers, or for record keeping.

This report makes informing your customers about battery health simple and can easily be included with other vehicle health reports.

New DEFA products showcased

We are always looking for new and innovative solutions to solve our customers needs. Showroom vehicle battery maintenance has long been challenging as chargers need to be small, versatile and out of sight from customers.

After some vigorous testing we found DEFA to match showroom needs exactly. Designed to be powerful yet discreet, DEFA’s showroom chargers can fit anywhere and they offer a range of sizes to suit the needs of your showroom.

DEFA’s showroom chargers are fitted with detachable cables so you can easily feed them through the engine bay to keep all cables out of sight of customers. Fitted with a simple to use interface allows you to effortlessly adjust the chargers settings.

Alongside the showroom chargers, we showed DEFA’s latest inverter. Designed to have a simple plug and go design to make fitting and use easy. Combined with powerful 240VAC power makes DEFA’s inverter hard to beat.

We will be releasing more information and pricing over the coming months, so keep an eye on our social media and website.
